Skype currently offers support for logging in and accessing Skype through certain social networks. This means that should you have a Facebook account or a Microsoft account you'll be able to access Skype directly via these accounts without having to open a separate Skype account.

How is it done, you ask?

In order to log into Skype with your Facebook account or with your Microsoft account, launch Skype and select your preferable means of logging in:

If you choose logging in with your Microsoft account, you'll be redirected to Microsoft login:

Type in your Microsoft account details and you'll be able to access Skype and use it.

If you choose logging in with your Facebook account, you'll be redirected to Facebook login. Type in your Facebook account details and you'll be able to access Skype and use it.

What other social features does Skype support?

Besides logging into Skype with your Facebook account, you can now start chatting and send instant messages to your Facebook friends directly from Skype. From your contacts list select your Facebook friends so you'll be able to start chatting with them directly from Skype:

Skype even enables you to Like your Facebook friends' messages or even to respond to them directly from Skype without having to launch your browser and log into Facebook.

Good luck!
