Adobe Contribute, which was once known as Macromedia Contribute before Adobe acquired the Macromedia brand in 2005, is a publishing and web management tool that incorporates creation, editing and review processes in a WYSIWYG format, which stands for What You See If What You Get and denotes a simple, easy to use interface.
Adobe Contribute is used to increase productivity online and to help a number of creators or employees work together on a single project. Adobe Contribute consists of a client that is used for the actual creation and editing, and a server that is used to publish the completed projects. Contribute comes with a browser built-in to the program that allows the program to work with certain web browser, such as Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer.
The current version of Adobe contribute is available in English, French, German, Spanish and Japanese, but previous versions of the Contribute software incorporates a number of other languages, including Chinese, Italian, Swedish, Turkish and more. Adobe Contribute was written in the C++ language and is available for the Windows Operating System.
