The hugely popular Call of Duty: Black Ops is back with its third instalment. This FPS is set in 2065 where you are a technologically advanced super-human. New futuristic technology and weapons fill your arsenal as you make your way through the campaign mode. If you want to blast your friends into oblivion, multiplayer will accommodate you with a variety of game modes, including the fan fav Team Deathmatch. However, if you have an urge to experience a little horror while you are blasting away targets, zombie mode is also back. New kill streaks and advanced weapons, what more could you ask for?
After having three years to create this instalment, Treyarch has delivered a game that has fluid graphics, plenty of action and tons of content. The storyline does not tie in well with the other episodes’ storyline other than a few small areas, but that doesn’t affect the enjoyment of this standalone game.
In the game, your player is critically wounded and receives many cybernetic upgrades that include weapons, electronic drones and visual overlays. While the single player mode may seem like the same old thing, other than the four player co-op mode for the campaign, the multiplayer mode has some really awesome extras; one of which is updated killstreaks, weapons and loadouts. Call of Duty: Black Ops III might not have reached the expectations of every fan, but they still did a nice job. This is definitely a game you should not miss out on.
Robots, zombies and drones, oh my….
