Gameloft brings you the latest instalment to their action-packed Modern Combat series with Modern Combat 5. Your character is Phoenix, a security forces Soldier, who has to fight radical and violent militants throughout the city of Tokyo. Manage your squad effectively if you want to survive and defeat your enemies. Each stage of MC5 is separated into different chapters and each chapter is downloaded as you progress in order to save space.
The game provides you with plenty of weapons to choose from. In addition, you also have a squad which features four different classes: assault, recon, heavy, and sniper. What directly affects the difficulty of each level, are the classes and the weapons that they have at their disposal. In other words, do not shoot at a captor that is using a hostage as a human shield with a shotgun.
The game also features a strong multiplayer mode that can support up to 12 players at a time. The gameplay in multiplayer mode is very similar to that of Call of Duty, including the bonuses for kill streaks. One of the issues with this game, like many touch screen shooter games, is that the controls are not very responsive. The game, overall, is excellent and well worth downloading.
