Unlimited access to high-quality music.
Qobuz is a French commercial music streaming and downloading service that specializes in lossless, high-resolution audio. Although the major part of their service is musical, you’ll also be able to take advantage of their non-musical content. Qobuz allows you to listen to a huge catalog of old music and new releases. A key component of their collection is guest playlists, interviews, and background articles. Since the recommended music is manually suggested and not algorithmically, you wouldn’t need to change the music constantly while working or doing other tasks, as you’ll have the appropriate music you want, playing in the background.
Qobuz has a range of options in audio quality that you can choose from. The maximum quality supported, is 24-bit/192kHz lossless file and this quality is commonly known as studio-quality or High-Res audio. Regardless of the tier of your subscription, you’ll have access to this (the highest) quality. Qobuz has more than 70 million tracks in 16-bit/44.1kHz quality, also known as Hi-Fi or lossless CD-quality, and close to half a million Hi-Res/studio-quality albums.
While downloading music, you are allowed to choose your preferred quality, however, the price varies for each quality. Qobuz has more than 50 million tracks, which is decent, to say the least. Qobuz allows you to use up to 6 accounts with only 1 subscription and you can also download tracks for offline listening.
Qobuz offers a few subscription plans, the Studio Premiere Plan is the most basic and costs $12.99 per month or 129.99 per year. This also includes a one-month free trial you can cancel if you wish to. This plan can only be used by one person and cannot be shared, however offline listening is available.
Another option is the discounted annual Studio Premiere which is the monthly equivalent of $10.83/month. Qobuz Studio Sublime is another subscription plan that will cost you $179.99 per year, which is $15 per month. With the Studio Sublime plan, on top of all the other services, you also get up to a 60% discount on Hi-Res tracks and albums. All these subscription plans also have family variants, but with varying prices, where you can create up to 6 accounts under the same plan.
