Trey Parker and Matt Stone are the creative geniuses behind the long running South Park television show. They are also huge fans of video games. Over the years, a number of developers have made games for South Park. Most of the games did not turn out very well, unfortunately. However, they seemed to have found their stride in 2014 with the release of South Park: The Stick of Truth. It was an RPG that looked just like an episode of the show. It had all of the fun and weird humor that fans have come to expect from the cartoon, namely because the game was written by Matt and Trey.
What Makes the Game So Good?
South Park: The Fractured But Whole looks as though it is going to be very similar to the first game in terms of play style and the type of game it is. It is an RPG, but instead of having a fantasy theme, as the first game had, this one tackles superheroes. Given how popular superheroes are, and considering the number of episodes South Park has had, it makes quite a bit of sense.
While South Park: The Fractured But Whole isn’t out yet, many believe that it is going to be just as good as the first. After all, Parker and Stone are writing this game as well. The turn-based aspect of the game is returning too, and that’s one of the things that people really enjoyed. They want the old school feel that those types of RPGs could provide.
After the game was released, it received rave reviews. Critics loved it and fans loved it even more. The only problem was that people wanted more when they finished the game. At the time, Parker and Stone said that they were up for a sequel, but they also said that the first was more work than they had anticipated. People figured that there would eventually be a new game. They didn’t think that it would come out in just two years’ time though.
The game features all of the great characters from the show that you know and love including Cartman, Stan, Kyle, and Kenny. You will also see Butters, and a number of others from the show, all with their actual voices (Parker and Stone lent their voices to the game as well). Since you are superheroes, you will be able to choose from a wide range of class types. They have Brutalist, Blaster, and Speedster, Assassin, Cyborg, Elementalist, Gadgeteer, Psychic, Commander, Netherborn, and Karate Kid. Each will have their own special set of moves and will play differently.
One of the interesting things about this game is that you don’t actually play as any of the kids from South Park. Instead, you get to be the New Kid who comes to town and who joins the kids as they are playing superheroes. Cartman and some of the others have a disagreement, so they have their own “civil war” with heroes on two different sides duking it out. In this game, you will get to build your own character from the ground up, and they will have the same style and look as the characters from South Park. In South Park: The Fractured But Whole, you will be able to choose to make a female character if you wish. That was one of the things lacking from the first game.

For someone who really loves South Park, this is the ultimate bundle. If you don’t get it when the bundle comes out, the cycle is going to be extremely difficult to find.
South Park is a fantastic show, and these latest games have proven to be extremely popular. If you are a fan, and you love these characters, you can’t afford to miss out on this game. For those who are brand new to South Park, and who for some reason have never seen the television series, you might want to watch a couple of episodes first so you can get a better idea of the type of humor involved. It is funny, but some might consider it distasteful, and they wouldn’t want to buy the game for their children.
