Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty, is the hotly anticipated sequel to the immensely popular Starcraft game, which was first released in 1998 and was developed by Blizzard Entertainment. Starcraft II is a real-time strategy game with a military edge, it takes place four years after the last Starcraft game.
There are 26 playable missions in the Starcraft II game, with an additional three alternates and one extra secret mission. The game is based on three playable races: Terrans, Protoss and the Zerg. It contains a range of new races, new maps, new items, new objectives and new stories. Starcraft is played all over the world and has even become a spectator sport in some countries such as South Korea, where large-scale tournaments ante held and expert players face-off against each other for large prizes and great acclaim.
Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty has generally been well received by critics and players. It has been highly rated by most of the top gaming sites and is very popular amongst fans of the series, who quickly converted to Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty after playing the original game.
