Excel is a great tool to handle all sorts of numbers. But what happens if your worksheet includes Roman numeral text? Should you toss it all away and start anew, or is there an easier way to resolve this problem?
Luckily enough, with PowerUps' pwrARABIC function you can easily convert Roman numeral text into regular numbers.
pwrARABIC – making sense of Roman numeral text
In order to use the pwrARABIC function, click the 'PowerUps' option from the main tool bar:
Then, select the 'PowerUps Functions' option:
Then, select the 'PowerUps' option. From this new menu, select the pwrARABIC function:
Once you've selected the pwrARABIC function, the function's interface window will open, asking you to choose the text to be converted. Now, you have two options. The first is to directly type in the Roman numerals you wish to have converted:
And have the result shown as the value of the chosen cell:
Or, you can choose a target cell. This means the function will convert this cell's content, which is in Roman numeral text, into regular numbers:
And, you're done! Now you can handle Roman numeral text in your worksheets with ease and make the most out of your database!
