One of Skype's more efficient add-ons enables you to use Skype's capabilities directly from your Outlook.com inbox.
Alternatively, you can download Skype's version which supports Outlook in advance.
After you do so you can perform the following tasks directly from Outlook inbox:
- Send instant messages to your Outlook contacts using Skype, directly from Outlook. This can be done by clicking Outlook's messages icon and typing in the message you want to send to your contact.
- Place Skype audio and video calls to Outlook contacts, directly from Outlook inbox. This can be done by clicking Outlook's messages icon, selecting the desired contact, and clicking the audio call icon or the video call icon. During the call you can turn your webcam on and off, send instant messages to your contacts, and view the call in a full screen mode or in a smaller window.
And, you're done! Now you can use Skype directly from your Outlook inbox!
