Windows 8 – Display file extensions



By default, Windows 8, 7, Vista and XP, will hide file extensions of known file types. Follow these simple steps below to enable the file extensions view in Windows 8.


1.   Open Windows Explorer

2.   Click the View tab

3.   In the “Show/hide” section click File name extensions
