BitComet, which was originally called SimpleBT, is a BitTorrent client that is used to download and manage BitTorrent files. BitTorrent is proprietary format that covers a broad range of foe formats, once those files have been downloaded through the BitTorrent client (which, in this case is BitComet) they return to their original file format. BitComet, which was developed by the BitComet Development Group, was first released in 2003 and is available for the Microsoft Windows Operating System.
BitComet is a peer to peer BitTorrent client, used to download BitTorrent files which are “seeded” (uploaded to the server) by other users of the client. BitComet comes with a multitude of features and capabilities, including the ability to support multiple and simultaneous downloads and a number of advanced search options. BitComet is quick and easy to use with a user-friendly interface.
BitComet was written using the C++ programming language and is available with an Adware license. It is available in 52 different languages, from Korean, Japanese and Chinese to English, German and Greek.
