Disk Doctor is an utility program that scans your Mac for unwanted files and then recovers them to reclaim much-needed space on your hard drive. With a very clear and straightforward interface and an exciting set of features, Disk Doctor makes cleaning up your Mac’s memory as easy as possible. Disk Doctor’s intuitive interface clearly shows all available options. Once you have run a scan, you will see the results sorted into categories that you can select or deselect as you advance to the cleaning stage. The app gives you the opportunity to have a full preview so as to choose what to delete and what not when running the cleaning process. Other exciting features include handling of your Application logs, some of your applications automatically create log files that can end up becoming quite large. Disk Doctor also empties your trash can to prevent unneeded files from taking memory space.
Disk Doctor is a convenient tool to have on hand when you need to increase the amount of free space on your hard drive. It presents your options clearly, making it useful for users of all experience levels, and it is only $2.99 in the App Store. You can free up tons of disk space with Disk Doctor by removing gigabytes of cached and unneeded files from your hard drive. While it is nice to be able to view the contents of categories, it would be nicer if you could deselect individual items within these categories. Unfortunately, that option is not offered in the current version of Disk Doctor. The only thing you can do is manually move an item to another file or folder and then run the program again, which is a significant number of extra steps. With one press of a button, Disk Doctor takes care of most unwanted files and programs like undeleted caches from apps that lead to many files building up on your hard drive. Other features include the option to remove languages that come with applications that are not useful to you and unimportant mail attachments that are saved to your hard drive whenever you open mail.
