An online video game developed by Epic Games, Fortnite is available in three different game versions that share the same game engine and gameplay. These include Fortnite Battle Royale, Fortnite: Save the World, and Fortnite Creative. The Fortnite: Save the World and Fortnite Battle Royale were released in 2017, while Fortnight Creative was introduced in 2018. The game is compatible with a range of platforms. While all the three versions are available for Windows, PlayStation 4, macOS, and Xbox One, Creative and Battle Royale are also compatible with Android, iOS and Nintendo Switch.
Although all games are free-to-play, the recent version, Save the World, as of 2019, required you to purchase to play. However, rumors have it that it may soon be available to download for free.
