Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Standard Edition offers the multiplayer goodness, you want, as well as zombies and the campaign.

Call of Duty is one of the most popular franchises in videogame history. The games were so popular that now three studios take turns making installments in the series – Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer, and Treyarch. Last year, Treyarch made a big splash with Black Ops III, which has proven to be very popular. Up until a couple of months ago, we didn’t know exactly what direction this year’s developer, Infinity Ward, was going to take.

Some felt that they would make Ghosts 2, even though the game was not very popular critically or from the fans’ perspective. They had a storyline that was only partially finished, so many thought it would just be natural to complete it. They may have been afraid of backlash though since the game didn’t do very well in comparison to some of their other titles.

Instead, they took pages from Sledgehammer and Treyarch and went into the future. In fact, Infinity Ward decided to go further into the future than the others did. They have kept some of the modern movement mechanics, and pros who have had a chance to play the game behind closed doors said that it plays similarly to Black Ops III. This should be good news, as the majority of fans were happy with the movement system. Most just don’t want it to be as fast-paced and “jumpy” as Sledgehammer’s title, Advanced Warfare.

Many fans are eagerly watching gaming news, social media sites, and the like trying to find any additional bits of information that they can find about Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. While there have been some leaks, there are still quite a few things that are unknown about the game.

The Campaign

It is true that most players in this franchise come to the game for the multiplayer, but the games tend to have impressive campaigns that are fun to play through. In this game you will be battling against enemy forces on earth, in space, on different planets, and more.

The conflict has spread to a number of locations throughout the solar system. You will definitely be playing in some environments that you haven’t seen before, and you can expect to find some interesting and memorable characters along the way. You will even get to take command of a massive ship in this game, which is something that hasn’t happened in this franchise before.

The scale is large, and the conflicts are sure to be thrilling. There are likely going to be some new and interesting mechanics and elements at play in the game. In the single-player campaign, they’ve already shown off some space combat – ship and person – that looks to be very impressive. While it is still early, and we don’t know too much about the campaign, or the multiplayer for that matter, rumors abound saying that you will have more choice as to which missions you take and when with the campaign.

Multiplayer and Zombies

Call of Duty is popular because of the multiplayer mode. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Standard Edition is going to have all of that multiplayer mayhem that you know and love, but there are still very few facts about the multiplayer aspects. These are most likely going to be revealed to the general public in the coming weeks – namely at the Call of Duty Experience in Los Angeles, which is from September 2-4, 2016. There is even a rumor of a beta possibly coming to the game shortly thereafter for everyone to test out and enjoy. Of course, that’s still just a rumor.

The zombies offering this year looks to be out there, without a doubt. It takes place in the 80s, and there is a very retro vibe to the Zombies trailer that was recently released. It looks like a lot of fun, and fans of this game mode are already trying to figure out how everything is going to play out.

Is the Standard Edition Lacking?

For those who are eagerly anticipating Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, the Standard Edition might be all you need. However, you have to be aware of something very important. You’ve probably heard that Infinity Ward is also releasing an updated and upgraded version of Modern Warfare, which will come with the Digital Deluxe Edition and the Legacy Edition, will not come with the standard version. That is why this version is cheaper than the other options.
When you have the Standard Edition, you will only be getting Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Keep in mind that this will come with the campaign, the multiplayer, as well as zombies.

If you are a Call of Duty fan, you don’t want to miss out on Infinite Warfare. The Standard Edition might be a perfect choice for those who are looking forward to just the multiplayer of this game, or even for those who are only interested in the campaign.
