Google Hangouts is a communication channel offered by the tech giant that provides instant messaging, voice calls, and face to face video chats.
Though Hangouts is remarkably similar to many of the other major communication channels, it has some notable differences that allow it to elevate itself above the rest of the competition.
The Google-based application goes above and beyond to include as many individuals as possible in a group chat or call. Rather than just settling at four or six, Google Hangouts permits as many as 10 individuals to chat in a group call at once.
Yet, that number is nothing compared to the volume of individuals which can be in a group message, as 150 members can join and partake in a text conversation. The impressive volume makes the application an ideal means of communication for organizations and group settings with countless individuals.
Nevertheless, those who also wish to speak with other Google members can do so entirely for free, with nothing more than a simple Google account. Any member to member call is free, providing a means for users to call each other for nothing more than the price of their mobile or Wi-Fi data.
Due to Google’s ambitious plans, Hangouts will surely continue to be supplemented with more impressive features in order to make the handy application even more useful than ever before.
